Ground Up Redesign

Helping a decade-old financial service training institute update their website.

The Brief

HCT & Partners is a financial services training institute. They had a website built some while ago, but their site wasn't mobile responsive.

What they needed was a complete makeover of their site in order to draw in new trainees.

The Solution

The original design of the site was a multi-page site. However, in terms of design, it made little sense as each separate page only had one picture and one line of text. Instead of making their users click multiple clicks to navigate the site’s content, I suggested that the site be changed to a single-page site, allowing for users to quickly scroll through the content.

Where more information was needed, a modal pop-up was used instead. That way, the user remained on the same page, and can quickly close the pop-up and continue reading the remaining content of the site.

Colors Used

In the course of re-designing the site, I also standardized the colors that HCT & Partners used. Three colors were picked to give, particularly a black and gold-like combination. The black-gold combination is used to symbolize wealth and success, something that the training institute hopes to lead its students to.
